On Wednesday 3rd July,  Tom Boswell Tree Services, specialists in London tree care dispatched the Red team, consisting of Callum, Gary, John and Freddie. You may be wondering why the red team was needed? Well within the London borough of Ealing a big Cedar tree had several large limbs which our client,  Grenville, was concerned about. Leaving the tree could have caused serious damage. Therefore, on balance it was the right call to safely remove the tree.

Callum and the team carefully lowered the tree to the ground and chipped the branches. Our job was made much easier by Grenville as they took some time out to protect a near by small Oak tree. Constructing a wooden shelter to keep it safe. Which you can see in the picture below. We will have to speak with Grenville about buying / borrowing this from him in the future!

The lower trunk section of the tree was felled in one go, in the hope we can shape a bench out of it in the future. Woodcarving is something we are looking to be more active in this year. If anyone knows any wood carvers out there please send them our way so we can have look at options of recycling more tree trunks into benches, tables and chairs – mushrooms are so last season….
